Tudor Hats

This term in 5/6 we have been making tudor hats in D.T we all thought it was so much fun and this is how we did it. You had to do a lot of snipping,stiching and styling but when you are on your feathers and buttons thats the tricky bit but the buttons are a lot easyer than the feathers

as you have to go THROUGH the feathers and then round it so you have to have extremely good aiming (so you don't stab your finger). We had a complex stiching regime of three different kind of stitchs blanket (where you thread it through the loop that you made on the previous stitch wich is fairly hard),running(where you go in and out of the felt) and overcasting (where you go over the side and go down down down...)so if you want to make a tudor hat come to 5/6D!!!
