I have done my home work about coal mining and how it was in the history by sara kelly

some facts

• some children used to started work at 2 o clock in the morning and stayed underground for 18 hours but some lucky children got to sort coal on the surface with daylight and fresh air.
• horses also used to work underground and pit ponies pulled wagons of coal along the tunnels
